QSS offers the highest quality standby power service and hardware in the industry. We specify a complete line of standby power batteries, chargers, and DC power system components as well as battery system monitoring, testing hardware, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), converters and inverters from the world’s best manufacturers. Quality Standby Services (QSS) was formed in 2006 by four partners who had previously worked together for over twenty years providing sales, installation and maintenance of standby power systems. The four principals together have over eighty years of combined experience in battery systems. QSS qualifies as a woman-owned small business and is led by Lesley Varga. Lesley is a graduate in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech and is a licensed PE in the state of Georgia. She was the 2013 Vice Chairman of the IEEE’s Power and Energy committee which sets standards for standby power and batteries. In addition, she is on the Technical Committee of the Battcon industry meeting. This is the national trade show for businesses related to standby power and the battery industry. QSS is the designated manufacturer’s representative for Enersys, the largest battery manufacturer in the world, in GA, AL and TN. We have a team of service personnel who install and maintain power systems throughout the southeastern US. Quality Standby Services’ technicians are qualified to install battery systems, perform quarterly and annual maintenance and load testing on battery strings according to manufacturers’ stated guidelines. Only manufacturer recommended equipment, tools, parts and testing equipment are used. Scrap batteries are packaged according to DOT specifications and transported to certified recyclers.
