Ransome Cat was purchased by Foley, Inc. on February 8, 2018. 

We are very excited about combining the heritage of two storied Caterpillar dealers, in order to leverage our expertise and the Caterpillar brand to best serve our customers in southeastern Pennsylvania, northern Delaware, New Jersey, Staten Island and Bermuda. 

This transaction is the result of a mutual agreement between our dealerships and Caterpillar and reflects our joint commitment to continue to deliver exceptional Cat products and services to our customers.

Ransome Cat History:

Ransome Cat was founded in 1916 and was one of the premier dealerships in our industry for over 100 years, making them one of the oldest and largest family owned businesses in the Philadelphia area. 

Ransome provided sales, parts, service and support for Caterpillar in the following industries: Heavy Construction Equipment, Diesel Engines, Power Generation, Marine, Commercial/Industrial Engines, and On-Highway Truck Service.
