ReliantHeart recently integrated the feature for continuous wireless monitoring into its Conquest Controller.  This unprecedented innovation will allow continual remote monitoring of data from the aVAD®.  As a result, clinicians and technicians will be informed automatically and in the background about the performance of the LVAD without requiring patient interaction or a trip to the clinic or hospital facilities.

The aVAD® is the smallest and lightest full support LVAD in the world, weighing only 84 grams, and it is silent. Because of its miniature size, it can be implanted above the diaphragm, adjacent to the heart.  The aVAD® is the most technically advanced device among just two other competitors in this field; it is the only LVAD with a precise, direct flow measurement system and cellular-based remote monitoring.
