Rethink Benefits™ is the first and only global web-based program to provide effective & affordable clinical best practice treatment tools to support employees caring for individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, learning delays or behavior challenges. Developed by internationally recognized behavior experts and leaders, Rethink empowers employees to understand, teach, and communicate better with their child or young adult, thus reducing stress and increasing productivity at work.  In 2019, we launched the first-ever Neurodiversity Training Center that helps companies better support employees with a neurodiverse condition like Autism, ADD/ ADHD, Dyslexia, and more. 

According to the CDC, 1 in 6 children (nearly 17%) are diagnosed with a developmental disability such as Autism or ADHD.  Prevalence is exploding and quality providers are scarce causing wait lists of up to 18 months for behavioral intervention treatment.  Out-of-pocket costs, a multitude of appointments, complex and confusing healthcare and education systems: these are just some of the seemingly innumerable challenges that employee caregivers are facing as they struggle to balance work/home life.  Employee caregivers of children with developmental disabilities lose an average of 250 hours of productivity per year and are 2.4X more likely to experience poor physical and mental health related to the stress and anxiety.

There is hope.  Some of the most progressive employers are going above and beyond the standard health coverage plans by providing additional support systems for this underserved employee population.  These companies all recognized that no matter how robust their health coverage, the lack of resources and providers in the health and education systems along with cost and complexity of care, created a growing challenge that was to be a top priority requiring out-of-the-box creativity.
