Safe Streets is a community-organizing non-profit that operates within Tacoma and Pierce County. We help organize neighborhood groups by offering training and support, sustaining safe neighborhoods. Youth Leading Change, our youth program founded in 1996, focuses on leadership development through projects on violence and substance abuse awareness and prevention. 

OUR MISSION
Safe Streets mobilizes grassroots community change by:
     -Motivating and inspiring community action
     -Teaching leadership strategies to develop the capacity of community members to solve 
      problems in their area
     -Assisting neighborhoods and youth to define their vision for change
     -Connecting people and organizations for success. 

Safe Streets will continue to help our community take charge and make change, until every neighborhood is safe.
