Samaritans provides lifesaving suicide prevention services throughout Greater Boston, MetroWest, and across Massachusetts. Our services are free, confidential, compassionate, and nonjudgmental.

Grief Support Services: Losing a loved one to suicide is a painful and difficult experience. Samaritans is here to offer suicide loss survivors nonjudgmental listening and peer support. We provide many programs to support survivors in their grieving. Learn more at samaritanshope.org/gss.

Hey Sam: Hey Sam is a dedicated peer-to-peer texting service for people up to 24 years old. Designed for and staffed by young people, Hey Sam gives youth the opportunity to reach peers if they are struggling, need someone to talk to, or need support. Text 439-726 9 AM - 12 AM (midnight) ET. Community Education & Outreach: Building expertise to prevent suicide is critical to our mission. We’re here to teach communities how to recognize warning signs of suicide and provide support. Our free workshops on suicide prevention are delivered to middle and high schools, colleges and universities, workplaces, elder care facilities, and community organizations.
