SANDAG is the Metropolitan Planning Organization and Regional Transportation Planning Agency for the San Diego region, responsible for developing long-term plans for how people and goods move. The agency also builds projects, preserves the environment, provides local resources, and administers the TransNet program, guided by data and public input. Its Board of Directors is composed of elected representatives from local city councils and the County Board of Supervisors, with advisory members from local transit districts, the military, tribal governments, Mexico, and partner agencies.
