The Science Communication Lab (SCL) is an innovative non-profit organization that tells the stories of science through film for public and educational audiences. Our work focuses on what science is, who does it, and why it matters . The SCL has two core programs: education and public engagement. The education arm (formerly known as iBiology) inspires students with personal stories of science. From fieldwork to lab breakthroughs, SCL films connect students to real scientists, their journeys, and the discoveries shaping our world. The public engagement initiative is the Wonder Collaborative, which creates science films to highlight the wonder, awe, and diversity of discovery. These films are used as a catalyst for deeper public engagement and connection with science and as a way to promote dialogue and build community.
