Shane's Rib Shack is a true American rib shack, known for its slow-cooked ribs, hand-chopped barbecue chicken and pork, and many southern sides to compliment each plate.  The original shack was founded in 2002, in rural McDonough, Ga. by Shane Thompson, who started the restaurant with his grandfather's secret BBQ sauce.  Shane and his wife, Stacey, built their business around hard work, family support and out-of-this-world food. He always gives people more than they pay for and treats everybody like family.  Shane's philosophy has always been that a great restaurant is not just about great food but it's the service and experience that makes the difference. Shane quit his neck-tie-wearing corporate job, dusted off his grandfather’s secret recipe and along with the support of wife Stacey, made his dream come true.

Since becoming a franchised restaurant in 2004, Shane’s Rib Shack has grown to become the country’s model fast-casual barbecue concept. In 2015, Shane’s Rib Shack was featured in the Wall Street Journal and in 2011, Shane’s Rib Shack was recognized as a Top 100 Movers and Shaker from FastCasual.com.
