Shannon's opened in 1997 as Connecticut's Premier Fine Art Auction house. Specializing in American and European 19th and early 20th century paintings, Shannon's holds their auctions twice annually. The auctions, held in Milford, Connecticut, are composed of paintings, watercolors, drawings, bronzes and fine prints. In recent years our sales have expanded to include modern and contemporary works as market favor changes. All works of art are authenticated and guaranteed. Gene Shannon, owner of the company, has been an antique art dealer in for over 25 years, as Shannon Fine Arts, Inc. Gene has attained an international reputation for his integrity and knowledge of fine art.

In 1997, after many years of dealing with other auction houses, he and his wife and partner, Mary Anne Shannon opened Shannon's Fine Art Auctioneers with offices and galleries in Milford, Connecticut. In 1998, their daughter Sandra Germain, with her extensive art, business and marketing background, joined the firm.

Shannon's philosophy and marketing strategy are founded on their own experiences as buyers and sellers in the auction market. The company prides itself on offering personalized service to its clients. Extra care is given to helping educate new collectors and consignors.
