Record labels big and small struggle to stay afloat in the digital age. They are left with no choice but to take more and more from artists and give less and less in terms of production, promotion, and the financial support that is needed to launch an artists career. Musicians are realizing that it is time for them to take the reins of their careers and remain independent. As a former record label, we have spent the last four years building an extensive network of contacts, refining our marketing plans, studying artist development, honing our skills with social media and online presence, and building an enormous body of resources. We have decided that it is time, to let go of the need for ownership that is plaguing other labels and instead use our resources in a way that makes sense - to help artists stay independent! By capitalizing on our combined years of experience, the Shift team can help build an artist's social networks and fan bases, guide them through their crowd funding & money raising campaigns, consult with them on the best way to allocate their resources, and provide for them a host of services designed and catered specifically for each artist and their goals.
