Our History: We are the importers of fine lagers and ales from Europe, a nationwide corporation based in San Francisco California, SHW was founded by Andreas Hildebrandt, who’s father began importing Munich’s Spaten beer into the western United States in the early 1960’s. Under Andreas’ leadership the Spaten/Franziskaner brand reached 200,000HL nationally (in conjunction with East Coast Partner Spaten North America). After the ABI/Anheuser Busch merger Anheuser Busch Inbev took back the importation rights of of the Spaten brands; which prompted the creation of S&H Independent Premium Brands; now dba SHW Brands. Our company has assembled a portfolio of some of the worlds most renowned European brews. Our commitment to product quality and superiority is unparalleled. Tradition and brewing excellence is how we hand pick our products from many award winning world-class breweries.
