Simplo Technology is a Taiwan-based developer of Lithium-Ion battery packs, founded in 1992 in HsinChu and employing 51-200 people. It operates multi-production capabilities based in China and provides global HUB and FAE services, with the aim of building a global supply chain across Asia, America and Europe. The company has partnered with internationally known firms and was publicly recognized for its leadership in the laptop battery market; in 2009 it was included in Morgan Stanley’s stock index and revenue reportedly exceeded USD 1 billion that year. Since 2008, Simplo has engaged in clean energy technologies such as power cells, energy storage systems and charging facilities, collaborating with other leaders in the field. The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications since 2002 and operates a lithium battery safety and reliability testing laboratory with access to multiple international accreditation laboratories. Its product range covers laptop batteries, handheld appliance batteries, electric bicycle and motorcycle batteries, electric vehicle and bus batteries, energy storage systems, chargers and charging stations, and quick-change battery systems; in 2011 it developed an integrated electric vehicle solution including the battery, vehicle charger, DC converter and vehicle control system, accompanied by an electric testing car.
