SiPearl is the European fabless designer of sovereign high-performance energy-efficient CPUs for supercomputers, AI and data centres. These CPUs will help address strategic challenges in the fields of security, defence, medical research, energy, climate and engineering with a reduced environmental footprint. In June 2025, SiPearl completed the design of the most complex CPU ever designed in Europe, Rhea1. Featuring 80 Arm Neoverse V1 cores, it is composed of 61 billion transistors. Currently in production at TSMC, Rhea1 will equip JUPITER, Europe's first exascale (1 billion billion calculations / second) supercomputer. SiPearl’s next generation CPU, Rhea2, will power Alice Recoque, second European exascale supercomputer, while Athena1, a specially enhanced version of Rhea1 for defence and aerospace applications, will be available at the end of 2026. Seed-funded by the EU, SiPearl employs 200 people in France, Spain and Italy. After a €130m Series A, the company has launched its Series B round.
