Founded in 1921, Skidmore is a leading manufacturer of Steam return pumps. Acquired by the Swan Group in 1988, Skidmore is a well known and respected name throughout the industry. Merged within Vent-Rite Valve Corp. and combined with National Pump, Skidmore offers a complete range of steam return pump products and possesses multi-channel marketing.

Skidmore manufactures steam condensate return, boiler feed and vacuum pump sets and related control panels for the commercial, industrial, institutional and residential markets; steam vents for the institutional and residential markets and other steam related, packaged systems, for specialty applications. Under the Skidco and Flexco brand names, Skidmore manufactures control panels for the cooling tower market and the gray water transfer and recovery market. The company also manufactures brand labeled pump sets for four OEM manufacturers. In addition, Skidmore is a subcontracting machine shop for OEMs in related and non-related industries and provides product design and testing.

Skidmore maintains manufacturing capabilities in several disciplines including engineering, design, research and development, welding, assembly and finishing. Skidmore has a state of the art UL approved electric control panel lab and shop. The Company continues to grow within its market segments and is tactically developing products and engineered systems and services for new and emerging markets and customer needs.
