Mid-market civil SKS Engineers is a mid-sized civil engineering firm serving Central Illinois with a broad service mix including civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, surveying, environmental, and testing. This breadth suggests opportunities to cross-sell integrated services to project owners in need of a single, multi-disciplinary partner for design, analysis, and construction quality control.

Diverse project mix Their project footprint spans agribusiness, commercial, industrial, residential, solid waste landfills, and infrastructure such as sewer, water, highways, bridges, foundations, and treatment facilities. Targeted outreach to municipal, industrial, and agricultural sectors could unlock repeat engagements across multiple project types and lifecycles.

Full lifecycle SKS offers services from investigation and design through construction quality control and post-construction monitoring. Emphasize value in long-term project support and ongoing performance observations to secure service contracts for monitoring, compliance reporting, and asset management after project handover.

Tech enablement The tech stack includes industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, iCIMS, WordPress, analytics platforms, and security tooling. Leverage these capabilities to position SKS as a technology-forward partner for efficient project delivery, digital collaboration, and robust data-driven reporting.

Growth opportunity With annual revenue in the 10 to 25 million range and a leaner employee base relative to peers like larger national firms, SKS could pursue strategic alliances, targeted RFPs, and niche market wins (e.g., water treatment, landfills, and bridge foundations) to scale while maintaining hands-on leadership and local expertise.
