Smart Freight Centre was founded in 2013 with a bold vision, a small team of dedicated people, and a mission that was ahead of its time: to make freight part of the climate solution. Fast forward to today, we’ve grown into a global non-profit organization with more than 80 employees and a thriving network of 200 members working together to decarbonize freight transportation worldwide. Why We Exist Our vision is a zero-emission global logistics sector by 2050 or earlier, aligned with a 1.5°C climate pathway. To get there, our mission is to accelerate the reduction of logistics emissions by fostering collaboration within the global logistics ecosystem. We believe that collective action is the only path forward. That’s why our work focuses on: -Enabling performance measurement of logistics GHG emissions to drive transparency and accountability -Facilitating solution pathways and catalyzing partnerships across the value chain -Educating and scaling up organizations to accelerate the uptake of decarbonization solutions Our programs and partnerships are designed to turn ambition into action—empowering our members to lead by example, improve emissions performance, and create lasting change in the freight sector.
