The Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) is a non-profit organization focused on advancing the science and practice of conserving Earth’s biological diversity. Its membership includes professionals and students across resource management, education, government and private conservation work, and related fields, totaling thousands of members worldwide who engage in regional and local chapters as well as working groups to support biodiversity protection and conservation activities. Based in Washington, DC, SCB operates through six regions, nearly 40 local chapters, and seven topical working groups to connect members with leadership and opportunities to pursue professional goals and collaborative conservation efforts.
