The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) is a professional association focused on improving patient care through the use of healthcare simulation. Founded in 2004, it supports education, testing, and research that leverage simulation to enhance clinical performance and reduce errors. Its membership spans physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, researchers, educators, and developers from around the world. SSH oversees and promotes the adoption of simulation-based modalities and has wholly sponsored the International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare since 2006, while pursuing international collaboration such as a 2024 partnership with SESAM. The organization is based in Washington, DC, and, in January 2025, named Jared M. Kutzin as its president.
