Since our founding in 1989, SpiderSmart has provided individualized, high-quality instruction to thousands of students at our local centers or online.  We have about 30 centers across Virginia, Maryland, New York, Louisiana, Texas, California, and Ontario, Canada.  SpiderSmart offers full support to students of all ages and all levels.  Academic tutoring is for students who need aid or acceleration in reading, writing, mathematics, phonics, spelling, current events, and public speaking.  Under subject tutoring, we assist middle and high school students in biology, chemistry, physics, history, civics, and foreign languages.  We also prep for most standardized and state exams, including SAT, ACT, PSAT/NMSQT, SAT Subject Tests, AP Exams, SSAT, ISEE, high school entrance exams, CogAT/NNAT, and TOEFL. 

For 30 years, SpiderSmart has promoted a 'whole' child learning philosophy that prepares children to succeed in school and thrive in life.  Our curriculum helps students to achieve both goals because it is designed to not only maximize academic achievement,  but also instill confidence, respect for the greater world, and a lifelong love of learning.  With a tailorable curriculum and small teacher-to-student ratios, we teach students strategies that are most beneficial for their style of learning. 

At SpiderSmart, our teachers go beyond tutoring.  They build upon strengths, help overcome weaknesses, and above all, instill a sense of intellectual independence in our students.  With an emphasis on planning, organization, and critical thinking, our teachers guide students to discover the inspiration that will spark their education.
