Spirited Media is a media company committed to finding a new editorial and business model for local journalism, and currently operates three sites: Billy Penn in Philadelphia, The Incline in Pittsburgh and Denverite in Denver.

Our sites are produced and designed for mobile, and are aimed at the under-40 audience. We are all local all the time, and deliver the news in a curated stream that values readers’ time and their user experience. We are heavily focused on circulating our work via social platforms, and believe that crafting a lively, unique voice for each city we cover is crucial.

We are focused on bringing our local audience together both online and offline, as we hold approximately 4-5 events per month and derive most of our revenue from events. We also believe that while all cities have real problems, the voices of those trying to solve those problems often go unheard, and we try and cover many of those efforts.
