Sports Events & Tourism Association, known as Sports ETA, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) trade association that serves the U.S. sports events and tourism sector. Headquartered in West Chester, Ohio, it supports a diverse mix of organizational members—from sports commissions and destination marketing organizations to parks departments, chambers of commerce, national governing bodies, multi-sport organizations, and event vendors—by providing education, networking, and practical expertise in event management and marketing. Its community comprises more than 2,500 professionals from over 800 member organizations who lead, manage, and execute sports events of varying scales—from bowling tournaments to the Super Bowl, and from U-12 girls soccer to the Women's World Cup.

Founded in 1992, Sports ETA seeks to safeguard the integrity of the sports events and tourism ecosystem while helping professionals achieve higher levels of performance. In 2026 the organization launched Active Insight, powered by EventConnect, an AI-driven data intelligence platform designed to improve how stakeholders access and use event and travel data. The association has also highlighted its leadership role through participation in events such as the CE Summit, reflecting its emphasis on strategy, innovation, and industry advancement.
