Founded in 1978, Superior Steel, Inc., is a family-owned, steel fabrication facility specializing in structural engineering, design, construction, and erection. We are AISC-certified in the areas of: (i) fabrication; (ii) steel erection; and (iii) advanced steel erection. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, Superior Steel has completed projects throughout the country. 

With locations in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Rockmart, Georgia, our manufacturing plants contain over one hundred thousand square feet of fabricating and inventory area, thereby allowing Superior Steel to produce over eighteen thousand tons of fabricated steal each year. 

Superior Steel employs an in-house detailing staff so as to better serve our customers by exacting complete control over the shop and erection plans. In addition to the qualified detailing staff, our full-time, on-site structural engineer furnishes complete connection analysis in projects requiring connection, stair, and handrail design and analysis. Our structural engineer is currently licensed in eleven states with the capacity for licensure by comity in most others.
