Sustainability Leadership Leverage SDC's established LEED Proven Provider and ENERGY STAR Partner credentials, extensive project portfolio in green building, and leadership role on industry councils to position premium sustainable design consulting services and expansion into adjacent markets or higher-tier certifications.

Regional Expansion SDC's headquarters in Richmond with a Washington DC regional office and a track record across the Mid-Atlantic presents an opportunity to upsell regional energy and sustainability programs, building science consulting, and post-occupancy services to local municipalities, developers, and corporate campuses.

Award Momentum Recent Virginia Community Impact Award recognition strengthens credibility for pursuing government, public sector, and large-scale commercial RFPs; target civic projects, schools, and state agencies seeking green building, resilience, and cost-savings solutions.

Tech Enablement With a tech stack including iCIMS, WordPress, Mailchimp, and analytics tools, there is an opportunity to offer digital governance, sustainability reporting platforms, and training programs that streamline certification processes, stakeholder reporting, and client education.

Financial Scope A mid-market revenue range of 10M–25M and a lean team (11–50 employees) suggest targeted cross-sell or upsell of scalable services such as program management, charrette facilitation, and post-occupancy evaluation packages to growing mid-size developers and building owners pursuing portfolio-wide green certification.
