Sutherland Insurance has been serving residents of Henderson County and western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina for over 80 years. 

The company was founded in 1938 by Edward R. Sutherland, who served as the agency's first president. After WWII, Mr. Sutherland's brother, Marvin F. Sutherland became president of the company. He worked at the agency until the early 1980's when current owner and president J. Edward Jones took over operations. 

Through many years of experience, Sutherland Insurance has built its reputation on personnel who are dedicated to friendly and personal service to clients.
