SWIMS was founded in Oslo, Norway, in 2006 and reached fame with its reinvention of the classic rubber galosh. Since then, SWIMS has expanded its range to include footwear, outerwear and accessories for the modern man. It is currently stocked in 30 markets globally, including independent specialty stores and luxury resorts, high-end departments stores Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Printemps (France), and KaDeWe (Germany) and sells products through its own website, eight licensed SWIMS-branded stores and two company-owned outlet stores. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Centric Brands Inc. (Nasdaq: CTRC).
