Swisscontact is an independent non-profit development organization founded in 1959 and based in Zurich, Switzerland. It operates in more than 130 projects across 41 countries and employs thousands of staff. Its work aims to mobilize private initiative to foster sustainable development and shared prosperity, guided by three pillars: strengthening people’s skills for employment and income opportunities, increasing enterprise competitiveness, and developing inclusive, resilient, scalable innovations. The organization works with partners in developing and emerging economies, engaging private sector actors, civil society, and public institutions to address unemployment, business growth, and inclusive development. In March 2026, Swisscontact and Don Bosco Boys Town Technical Institute launched a dual training model blending 75 percent workplace training with 25 percent classroom learning under NITA-accredited programmes to equip youth with practical experience.
