The Tech Talent Charter (TTC) is a UK-based non-profit initiative that unites hundreds of organisations to advance inclusion and diversity in the tech sector. Free to join, its members become Signatories who commit to pledges related to more equitable recruitment and retention practices. Founded in 2017 by groups across recruitment, technology, and social enterprise, TTC operates as an industry collective with support from the UK government’s Digital Strategy, and is based in London.
The signatories are UK employers and partners who participate to advance hiring and retention practices within tech. The organization has pursued partnerships and research on non-traditional routes into tech, including a 2023 partnership with Code First Girls, and has launched initiatives like Routes to Tech in 2022 to broaden access to digital skills. It has also published research such as the 2021 Diversity in Tech report.
