Tenet invests capital into projects that are credit worthy, having a bank or lending source that will underwrite the credit; however, the sponsor may need a little more cash on the balance sheet, as a deposit, in order to backstop the liquidity portion of the sponsor’s equity and leverage the credit as investment grade debt, to meet the bank’s underwriting standards. • Tenet is positioned to invest that required cash for the sponsor’s equity to the capital stack. Generally speaking, mature companies with three or more years of operations, are more of the caliber of company capable of closing funding through the Tenet model. Notwithstanding, Tenet can invest in newer companies; however, new companies will need to offset their lack of trailing earnings by offering the credit underwriter some form of credit risk mitigation in the form of either a Territorial Government guarantee, NGO and/or Development bank’s guarantee, bonding and/or surety bonding, a PPA, investment grade off-take agreements, or usage agreement. Notably, every enterprise has unique industry-specific credit underwriting guidelines. These credit underwriting guidelines will need to be obtained through active communication between the sponsor and their commercial lender. - We specialize in Governmental projects (including BOT and public/private partnerships) as well as mid market public and private corporations. - Our investment capital can be an excellent fit, as non-dilutionary mezz, for pre-offering raise.
