Texas Central Title, LLC is locally owned and operated by Ernestine and Marcus Shanks, the mother/son team. Ernestine and Marcus Shanks have grown the company based on honesty, integrity and good old fashioned hard work. Ernestine has been in the Title Industry since 1968 while Marcus has been enjoying the industry since 1988. 


Ernestine, along with three attorneys, decided to create a title company of their own in 1986. Texas Central Title opened up for business in January of 1987 with Ernestine Shanks as manager and part owner. Over the years, Ernestine and Marcus bought out the other principals paving the way for Ernestine and Marcus to own and operate Texas Central Title, LLC with prudence. 


Texas Central Title’s closing staff alone comprises over a 100 years of experience of closing real estate transactions. While our primary focus is on McLennan County, Texas, we have the ability and knowledge to handle escrow for transactions across Texas statewide. Texas Central Title consistently coordinates with everyone involved in the real estate transaction, from the realtor to the lender to the principals of the transaction. 

We have national underwriters supporting our transactions, including Fidelity National Title, Chicago Title Insurance Company, and Title Resources Guaranty Company. Texas Central Title is ready to research the past…..to insure your future.
