Texas Classic Homes was conceived out of a desire to build exceptional homes that carry on a family heritage that spans 3 generations. TCH President Walter Pate’s grandfather, Fred Barber, was a builder of quality homes in Midland during the 1930s and 40s. Even today many of these structures remain highly prized homes in “old Midland.” Walter says his Grandpa Barber always stressed building homes with quality, value and craftsmanship...and at TCH it is our vision to maintain that family tradition. Texas Classic Homes is owned and operated by Walter Pate and Marie Pate along with son Travis Pate (who joined TCH fall of 2006). Together, the Pates and their talented staff design and build custom homes as well as homes ready for buyers to purchase and move-in. The Pates start only 10 new homes each year so they can focus on the design and craftsmanship of each home. At TCH, we are committed to excellence at every stage of design & construction and unsurpassed service to our homeowners.
