In addition, the agency oversees the Charitable Bingo Operations Division, which provides authorized organizations the opportunity to raise funds for their charitable purposes by conducting bingo. 

Since the first lottery ticket was sold in 1992, the Texas Lottery has generated more than $35 billion in revenue for the State of Texas through fiscal year 2022 – including more than $29 billion for the Foundation School Fund and more than $192 million for the Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. During the same period, the Texas Lottery has distributed more than $77 billion in prizes to lottery players.
