MISSION: The Arc of East Central Iowa empowers individuals with disabilities and their families to engage in lifelong opportunities to live, learn, work, play, and advocate with full dignity and inclusion in their communities.

VISION: The Arc of East Central Iowa is a proactive advocate committed to the empowerment, independence and dignity of all individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities and their families.

PURPOSE: The Arc of East Central Iowa was created to promote the general welfare of all citizens who have intellectual and related developmental disabilities.  With the mission state as a guide, The Arc works with the state and national offices to provide a unified approach to provide supports and services, raise awareness, promote prevention and to affect public policy in a way that reflects the need of people with disabilities.
