The facility was originally built in 1935–1936 for the National Guard and as an event space, preserving historical integrity while enabling large-scale production and arena-style shows in an intimate setting. The Armory accommodates a standing concert capacity of 3,000 to 8,000 and seated configurations from 1,800 up to 5,500+, and can serve up to 2,500 guests for dinner, hosting events such as concerts, comedy, MMA, boxing, basketball, trade shows, award ceremonies, corporate events, galas, and private celebrations. It hosted its first series of sold-out live concerts in December 2017 and has been inviting inquiries for a wide variety of shows and events since then.
