The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is a mid-sized, not-for-profit trade association that serves Canada’s real estate sector. It is among the country’s largest single-industry organizations, with more than 160,000 real estate professionals as members who engage through 63 boards and associations across the country. The association is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, and functions as a national coordinating body for its member networks. Its core constituency comprises licensed brokers, agents, and salespeople, as well as the boards and associations they belong to, for whom CREA facilitates nationwide coordination and engagement within the industry. The organization participates in policy development and housing-system initiatives, as evidenced by its 2025 launch of a 10-point blueprint aimed at addressing the housing crisis and building a more resilient and inclusive market. In 2026, CREA announced the installation of Garry Bhaura as chair during its Annual General Meeting, marking a governance update.
