The Clocktower Gallery / ARTonAIR is a small nonprofit organization based in New York City, New York, serving as both a contemporary art space and an Internet radio platform. It is housed in the historic Clocktower Gallery, which traces its founding to 1972 when Alanna Heiss established it as an alternative art space. The organization produces more than 500 radio programs each year, encompassing audio art, interviews, music, spoken word, and radio theater, with a focus on experimental and interdisciplinary work. Current programming reflects the Clocktower's four-decade history and focuses on experimental, interdisciplinary, and intergenerational projects in the visual and audio arts, music, performance, and radio. Its mission centers on providing a resource for music, audio art, cultural dialogue, and new media innovation, serving listeners as well as creators in the arts community.
