The Gate's Reduced Fee Clinic seeks to serve the Austin, Westlake, and surrounding communities by providing quality, competent counseling services at affordable rates (View Sliding Scale). The counselors at The Gate's clinic are Licensed Professional Counselor-Interns (LPC-Intern) and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC). LPC’s are fully licensed counselors who have had over 1500 hours of direct client-hours (3000 total hours direct/indirect). LPC-Interns are newly licensed professionals who are working towards their permanent license (LPC). Their level of experience varies. LPC-Interns at The Gate Counseling Center are supervised by Jonathan F. Anderson (LPC-Supervisor) and work with him to optimize their counseling work. Sliding Scale Do you have financial concerns? The Gate Reduced Fee Clinic allows clients to pay session fees according to a sliding scale based on their income. The sliding scale ranges from $20 to $80 to see an LPC-Intern for each weekly 50-minute session. The sliding scale takes into account both household income and household size. If you wish to find out what your fee would be, please inform us of your household income and household size using our Contact Form. Of course information about your household is not required. The non-scaled fee is $80 for each 50-minute session. All information is completely confidential. Sliding scale information for fully-licensed counselors is available upon request
