Gyges was a mythical shepherd boy who overthrew a king in ancient Lydia after he discovered a ring that could make him invisible.  On some level, this power is now available to everyone through the anonymity of modern digital technology.

The Gyges Group LLC was created in 2013 to establish a private consulting practice specializing in the  intersection of cyber security, security and behavior.  We provide expertise and assess a client's total security stack focusing on their adversaries' behavior  Additionally, traditional Criminal Behavioral Profiling consultation services are provided to private and public organizations, the government, media, and individuals.

Consultation is provided on Cyber and Criminal Profiling, Security and Investigation.  As an FBI certified Criminal Profiler, and a background as the founder of the Cyber Behavioral Analysis Program at the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, I developed the ability to assess an individual’s personality traits and characteristics based on their online and offline behavior.  Examples are risk assessments for online communicated threats, hacker personas, and content analysis.  Consultation is also provided on applying knowledge of criminal behavior to assist predictive analytics efforts and modeling.  I am also available to public and private groups, commercial and news organizations, for speaking engagements and commentary regarding Cyber Profiling, Behavioral Assessment in Cyber Space, Criminal Profiling, the challenges to the FBI in the Digital Age, and 9/11 Issues Still Present Today.  Technical expertise to the Entertainment & Media Industry can also be provided.
