The Harvard Crimson is a weekday daily newspaper serving the Harvard community in Cambridge, Massachusetts, published each weekday morning, with holidays observed. In addition to the daily paper, it features an extended sports section on Mondays, a weekend magazine on Thursdays, and an arts section on Tuesdays. The publication relies on undergraduate staff volunteers to produce campus-focused journalism. The Crimson traces its origins to 1873 as The Magenta, later adopting The Crimson and becoming incorporated in 1967, making it the oldest continuously published daily college newspaper in the United States. In 2023, the organization launched Metro Briefing to broaden its community coverage.
