The International Law Review Association (ILRA) is a unified organization at SMU Dedman School of Law dedicated to publishing scholarly works on international law. ILRA’s Editorial Board facilitates the editorial and publication processes of two student-run law journals: The International Lawyer and The Year-in-Review. Both of these publications have been prestigious ABA publications since 1966, and SMU Law has been their proud home since 1986.

The International Lawyer: 
As the official triannual publication of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law, The International Lawyer provides cutting-edge legal research and analysis of international law with a focus on trade, licensing, direct investment, finance, taxation, litigation, and dispute resolution. Since its inception, The International Lawyer has grown to become the world's most widely distributed U.S. international law review, enjoying subscriptions of approximately 22,000 readers in more than 90 countries. The International Lawyer is published three times a year and focuses on emerging issues in international law and business.

The Year-in-Review:
Previously included as an issue of The International Lawyer, The Year-in-Review its own annual publication of the ABA’s Section of International Law. The Year-in-Review is an annual survey of international law providing a comprehensive summary of the germane legal developments, key pieces of legislation, and landmark decisions that helped shape the international legal tapestry of the year. The Year-in-Review includes submissions from thirty to forty Committees of the ABA International Law Section. The objective of The Year-in-Review is to publish high-quality articles on international subjects relevant to each Committee of the ABA/ILS, informing its readers of significant legal developments that happened during the previous calendar year. Catering to the ABA/ILS membership, The Year-in-Review shares the same readership as The International Lawyer
