THE LOCAL PIZZAiOLO is a Neo-Neapolitan pizza concept based in Atlanta with culinary development led by the globally revered Master Pizzaiolo, Giulio Adriani. Our mission is to deliver the best tasting pizza on the planet by some of the most warm-hearted humans on the planet. Real. Pizza. Passion. And, the casual, warm and inviting atmosphere hopes to inspire you to live a life doing what you love too. The flavor-driven menu is designed to really taste every ingredient and the authenticity of Napoli in every bite. It is all natural and includes seasonal & fresh flavors, with carefully sourced premium ingredients from global farms in Italy to local farms in Georgia. As once the head instructor of Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), Giulio has taught proper Neapolitan techniques all over the world and is considered one of the world's leading pizza experts. You may even recognize him from his appearances on national television, such as cooking on “Beat Bobby Flay” on The Food Network. Giulio has a unique vision for innovative flavors while remaining true to the authenticity of pizzamaking taught to him by his Neopolitan grandmother “Nonna Maria” and master pizzaiolos Gaetano Fazio and Antonio Starita. In 2011, his signature pizza – the ‘Montanara’ which has a flash fried crust, was so unique in the culinary field, it was the documented reason his green card to the US was approved. Giulio grew up in Rome and although schooled as an accountant, he instead followed his love & passion for restaurants, cooking & living. He has owned and operated seven successful restaurants including three in Italy, one of which being the famous "Alla Corte dei Borboni", located in Ostia near Rome. A multiple award winner, he even has the coveted Gold Medal from the 2010 World Pizza in Salsomaggiore, Italy.
