The mission of the Milo Foundation is to rescue adoptable at-risk animals, match them to homes best suited to provide lifetime care, rehabilitate those who need it, offer sanctuary to those who are not placed, and educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, including spay/neuter. During our nearly 20 year history, we have rescued more than 22,000 dogs and cats from euthanasia. Most of the animals come right from euthanasia lists at high kill-shelters across the state. We place an average of 1,500 animals annually and care for a population of nearly 250 animals at our Sanctuary. We have a busy adoption center in San Rafael where up to 60 dogs and cats reside until they find their forever homes. As a result of our growth over the last five years, we will be moving our Bay Area 'headquarters' to a larger location in Point Richmond in NOVEMBER 2013. The Richmond location is phase one of "RE-HOME MILO". Phase two is a Milo Rescue Pet Store in Marin. The Milo Foundation exists because of our adopters, fosters, volunteers and the generosity of our donors, both individuals and businesses. We have a great reputation and a strong and loyal following. If your company is interested in helping homeless animals and tapping into the affinity between people and their pets, then there are many ways we can work together.
