Tri-County Electric Cooperative , Inc. is a non-profit, membership corporation, organized in the state of Florida to engage in Rural Electrification. Established in 1940, its mission was to electrify the farms and homes of rural North Florida so that members of the electric cooperative could enjoy the quality of life and the benefits enabled by a more productive existence that could only be made possible by having access to reliable and affordable electric service. 

TCEC maintains 3,000 miles of power lines and provides reliable and affordable electric service to 18,000 residential, commercial, and industrial consumers in rural north Florida. We serve Madison, Taylor, Jefferson and a portion of Dixie County. With our headquarters in Madison, FL.

TCEC employs over 65 people and is governed by a nine member Board of Trustees, elected by the membership.
