Truth Wins Out (TWO) is a U.S. nonprofit watchdog that combats religious extremism, exposes disinformation, and defends democracy and human rights—with a core commitment to LGBTQ+ equality. Founded in 2006, TWO built a national profile by investigating and debunking the “ex-gay” industry. In 2025, we expanded our mission to meet the moment: tracking the networks, funding, and policy pipelines behind authoritarian projects like “Project 2025,” and equipping journalists, policymakers, and the public with rigorous research and compelling communications. Our Behind the Mask series maps the people and organizations attempting to remake America along theocratic lines—and shows how to push back.
