Ullrich is a Swiss retail company focused on wine, whisky, and spirits, and it also hosts related events. It operates stores in Basel, Bern, Zurich, Morges, and Chur, and maintains a website at ullrich.ch. The business is based in Münchenstein, in the Basel-Landschaft region of Switzerland. It traces its origins to 1925, when Paul Ullrich opened a Basel wine and spirits shop, which later expanded to a second location and was transformed into an AG (joint-stock company) in 1944. The Ullrich family has guided the business across generations, with Peter and Hansruedi at the helm for several decades before the current owner, Urs Ullrich, assumed leadership. The founder’s connections with Burgundy helped establish the firm as a reputable supplier and connoisseur of wines from that region, contributing to its standing as a prominent wine and spirits retailer in the Basel area.
