Uncharted Territory is a production company founded in 1999 by Volker Engel and Marc Weigert. UT produces and co-produces feature films, TV movies and mini-series and while based in the US until 2020 also provided visual effects services. As a unique concept, UT created an entire visual effects company from scratch, custom tailored for every project. The size of the company ranged from 15 (for their first production, "Coronado"), to over 100 employees ("2012"). In 2021 the company moved to Germany to focus on development and production of their own projects.
