USA Cycling is the United States' national governing body for the sport of cycling, administering the disciplines across road, track, mountain bike, cyclocross, gravel, BMX, and esports. Its core objective is to grow participation and engagement in bicycle racing while pursuing sustained international success across these disciplines. The organization identifies, develops, and selects riders to represent the United States through youth and interscholastic programs, amateur and grassroots racing, athlete development initiatives, and support for cycling clubs, racing teams, and event organizers. The organization serves a membership of about 80,000 and participates in the national and international sport ecosystem through its roles with the UCI and the USOPC, including a 2026 initiative to update its Rider to Racer pathway program.
