Vakko is a Turkish fashion house and luxury goods retailer in the Retail Apparel and Fashion industry, headquartered in Altunizade, Istanbul, Turkey, with a workforce of about 1,000 to 5,000 employees. It originated in 1934 when Vitali Hakko founded a small hat shop named Şen Şapka, which later became the Vakko brand and expanded to scarves of Turkish silk and other ready-to-wear products. Today, Vakko operates multiple brands and stores, including Vakko Scarves, Vakko Men and Vakko Women, Vakko Couture, V2K Designers, Vakko Wedding, Vakkorama concept stores, W Collection Menswear, and Vakko Home, and it also ventures into gourmet foods and hospitality through Vakko Chocolate, Vakko Tea Atelier, Vakko Coffee Atelier, Vakko Patisserie Petit Four, and the French restaurant Vakko Bistrot; Vakko Espace supports event experiences. The company supports the industry through initiatives such as the Vakko ESMOD Fashion Academy and the Vitali Hakko Creative Industries Library. Vakko's headquarters and Vakko Fashion Center were designed by Office REX, with the Fashion Center being named Best Workspace by Wallpaper magazine.
