At Viking we are proud of our long tradition and heritage. With more than 100 years of history we have gained solid knowledge, expertise and craftsmanship in developing high quality and functional shoes. It all dates back to 1920 when our founding father, Peter Mathias Røwde, started making rubber products to combat the harsh Norwegian climate. A few years later Viking boots were used by fishermen, foresters and all kinds of explorers. Since the beginning of time we have pushed through boundaries, discovered new paths and taken steps into unknown territories. Our product range has grown to satisfy more needs, while we still stay true to our founder’s initial idea. 

Today you’ll find our products on both the highest mountains and in kindergartens. New materials and production methods have allowed us to create footwear that takes you even further. Our shoes are built to last. Quality is essential in everything we do. We aim to be your most trusted friend, and create a world where everyone can be an explorer.
