The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank is a nonprofit organization focused on alleviating hunger and improving food security in the Greater Peninsula region. Since its founding in 1986, it has provided more than 236 million meals across its service area, which includes the Cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, along with Gloucester, James City, Mathews, Surry, and York counties. A more recent development is a December 2025 collaboration with The Foleck Center to run a month-long food drive across Hampton Roads.
